Job summary

IRONCLAD Powered by Mersino seeks a field-based manager to lead staff and oversee daily project activities from the field perspective. You will supervise crews, review plans, manage schedules, and coordinate with Account Managers to ensure projects run smoothly.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel to sites. A background in construction management and at least three years of supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management or related field is required.
• 3 years experience in managing construction projects is required.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Planning and organizational skills in handling multiple projects are required.
• Proficient in PC software applications is required.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and/or technical manuals is required.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating and bidding procedures is required.
• Skills in workflow analysis and management are required.
• Knowledge of contract documents and specifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to all employees by example.
• Assist Account Managers in design proposals, quotes, and project schedules by walking jobsites, reviewing project plans and specifications, and occasionally making sales calls along with AMs.
• Coordinate with LOGISTICS and SALES AND MARKETING to ensure equipment needs for on-going projects can be met before committing resources.
• Coordinate with LOGISTICS and SALES & MARKETING to allocate personnel according to skills and project needs.
• Work with Crew Leaders and training personnel on field procedures to ensure productive, quality work and well-maintained equipment.
• Communicate project status to the Branch Manager in a timely fashion.
• Visit major projects during installation to ensure quality processes and production rates meet expectations.
• Help ensure crews understand company expectations for layouts, cleanliness, and professionalism.
• Review production reports to verify progress and identify issues affecting production or efficiency.
• Work with Account Managers and customers to address concerns about projects and processes.
• Troubleshoot problems on projects and coordinate with AMs to fix issues.
• Assist in determining appropriate customer service responses.
• Assist in completing company reports and paperwork on time.
• Assist in sales at the request of the Branch Manager.
• Help develop new methods and procedures and drive improvements in practices and technologies.
• Implement and enforce company policies for field operations.
• Attend company meetings and industry events as requested.
• Ensure The Mersino Way guides daily activities.

Typical Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to all employees by example
• Assist Account Managers in design proposals, quotes, and project schedules by walking jobsites, reviewing project plans and specifications, and occasionally making sales calls along with AMs
• Coordinate with LOGISTICS and SALES AND MARKETING to ensure all equipment needs for on-going projects can be met prior to committing said resources to the customers
• Coordinate with LOGISTICS and SALES & MARKETING to ensure the appropriate personnel are allocated to projects according to their skills and experience and the needs of the projects
• Work directly with Crew Leaders, training personnel on proper field procedures to ensure productive and quality work, as well as to ensure that assigned equipment (service truck, drill rigs, fusion machines, etc.) is well maintained and kept in good condition
• Effectively communicate the status of all projects to the Branch Manager in a timely fashion
• Make routine visits to all major projects during installation to ensure quality processes are in place and adhered to and that production rates meet expectations
• Help to ensure that crews understand the expectations of the company respecting job layouts, cleanliness, and that our jobs are set up in a professional manner
• Review production reports to ensure that crews are achieving expected production rates on all projects, identifying problems that could be related to potential change condition scenarios or poor crew efficiency
• Work with Account Managers and their customers in addressing concerns and issues involving projects and their processes
• Troubleshoot all problems encountered on every project and works with Account Managers to correct problem areas
• Aid in determining the appropriate response with regards to all customer service
• Help to ensure the completion of all company reports and paperwork thoroughly and on time
• Assist with sales at the request of the Branch Manager
• Assist in developing new methods and procedures, leading the company into new and improved practices and technologies
• Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures with respect to field operations
• Attend company meetings and industry workshops and conferences when requested
• Ensures that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree in Construction Management or related field
• 3 years experience in managing construction projects
• Supervisory experience
