ROLE DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Field Installation Manager oversees installation projects and leads field teams to ensure successful execution from planning through closeout. This role is responsible for job site readiness, labor coordination, quality control, safety compliance, and client satisfaction while managing resources across active projects. The Field Installation Manager ensures strong day-to-day execution while supporting team development and operational consistency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational / Process Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute installation projects using drawings, specifications, and field execution plans
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, labor usage, and deliverables
  • Conduct site visits to ensure readiness, material availability, and field alignment
  • Coordinate sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor needs
  • Manage issue escalation tied to damages, shortages, or scope changes
  • Support labor planning and daily field resource alignment
Team Oversight
  • Supervise installation crews and subcontractors
  • Train, develop, and evaluate field team members
  • Reinforce safety expectations and installation quality standards
  • Support daily coaching, crew communication, and performance follow-up
Reporting Support
  • Communicate project status, labor usage, and field issues to leadership
  • Document job site activity, delays, punch items, and progress milestonesli>
  • Maintain accurate labor tracking and crew productivity reporting
Audit and Compliance
  • Enforce safety policies and company standards
  • Ensure compliance with customer site requirements and field procedures
  • Maintain adherence to documentation, equipment, and fleet expectations
Systems / Process Improvements
  • Identify process improvements that increase field efficiency and reduce rework
  • Support consistency in crew training and job documentation
  • Improve communication between field teams, Dispatch, and project teams
Field Coordination
  • Coordinate materials, labor, and logistics
  • Assist with punch list completion and project closeout
  • Support strong communication between field teams and Dispatch
  • Help resolve daily site readiness and sequencing issues

The Field Installation Manager ensures projects remain on time, labor is optimized, and client expectations are met through strong field coordination and proactive issue resolution. KEY SELECTION & SUCCESS FACTORS
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of installation, construction, or field operations leadership experience
  • 2+ years leading multiple active job sites, crews, or subcontractors
  • Office furniture installation required/preferred depending talent pool
EDUCATION
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent field leadership experience may substitute
  • OSHA 30 preferred

TRAVEL/WORK REQUIREMENTS:

A valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record that meets Company safety, operational, and insurance standards are required, as business travel between company locations, client sites, project sites, and other off‑site destinations may be required.

  • Employee occasionally walks on level surfaces to: interact with all operational departments, retrieve needed materials, to access lobby display, and attend meetings. Duration 45 minutes per day; Distance up to 1,500 feet per day
  • Employee occasionally stands on level surfaces during interaction with customers and other personal. Duration 30 minutes per day
  • Employee continuously sits using the computer, talking on the phone, processing project paper work, and attending. Duration up to 7 hours per day
  • Employee constantly reaches out during work at desk. Height forward reach waist to chest; Frequency up to 30 times per hour
  • Employee must rarely bend, squat, stoop, or kneel during filing tasks.
  • Employee is occasionally exposed to ambient temperatures in the warehouse.
