Job summary

New Castle Building Products, Metals location in Hicksville, NY, seeks an Operations Manager to oversee a 30,000 SF manufacturing facility and optimize production using MRP systems. You will lead shop floor personnel, review paperwork, and coordinate CNC and repairs while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication or metal roofing is a plus; strong communication with customers and vendors is essential in this role.

Qualifications

Must have a can-do, customer service-first attitude.
Ability to navigate digital MRP systems.
Experience in the architectural, construction, or design industry.
Familiarity with CAD programs.
Familiarity with automation and integrated machinery.
Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication and metal roofing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Schedule daily manufacturing work, ensuring machine utilization is optimized and production deadlines are met using MRP software.
Manage shop floor personnel to meet productivity metrics.
Review production paperwork for accuracy prior to release to the shop floor.
Oversee CNC programming team.
Communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors regarding the production workflow.
Check inbound materials and coordinate delivery of outbound materials.
Maintain production standards per QA policy and perform quality checks.
Maintain a culture of safety and adhere to safety policies.
Assist in troubleshooting machinery and coordinate external repair teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
