Job summary

New Castle Building Products, Metals location in Hicksville, NY, seeks an Operations Manager to oversee a 30,000 SF manufacturing facility and optimize production using MRP systems. Responsibilities

• Schedule daily manufacturing work, ensuring machine utilization is optimized and production deadlines are met using MRP software.
• Manage shop floor personnel to meet productivity metrics.
• Review production paperwork for accuracy prior to release to the shop floor.
• Oversee CNC programming team.
• Communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors regarding the production workflow.
• Check inbound materials and coordinate delivery of outbound materials.
• Maintain production standards per QA policy and perform quality checks.
• Maintain a culture of safety and adhere to safety policies.
• Assist in troubleshooting machinery and coordinate external repair teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Our Metals location based in Hicksville, NY is seeking an Operations Manager. In this role you will be responsible for oversight of a 30,000 SF Manufacturing facility. Prior experience in the sheet metal industry is not required, but is considered a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule daily manufacturing work, ensuring machine utilization is optimized and production deadlines are met using MRP software.
• Manage shop floor personnel to meet individual productivity metrics.
• Review production paperwork for accuracy prior to releasing to the shop floor.
• Oversee CNC programming team.
• Communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors with regards to all aspects of the production workflow.
• Check and receive inbound materials.
• Check and coordinate delivery of outbound materials.
• Maintain production standards in accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy. Perform intermittent and final quality checks.
• Maintain a culture of Safety. Adhering to NCM Safety Policies.
• Assist in troubleshooting of machinery and coordinate external vendors/manufacturers repair teams as required.
• You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Wage Range: $70 - $90k annually and additional benefits. In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
