Role Overview

Are you a strategic, innovative facilities leader ready to help clients optimize their business?

Sodexo Energy & Resources is seeking an Operations Manager 1, Multi-Service to join our team in supporting the portfolio of a premier Global Energy producer in Richmond, CA! This Operations Manager will be responsible for leading our soft services operations - janitorial, move/add/change, events, mail services, shipping, receiving, reprographics, operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team, sorting and distribution of mail, and implementing best practices for janitorial services for a large company.

What You'll Do

  • Direct daily mail room service operations to ensure employees have appropriate equipment and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines;
  • Perform reconciliation of shipping costs compared to bills; and perform allocations to departments as required;
  • Identify potential problems and inform the manager of the status on resolution, using appropriate Sodexo resources when necessary;
  • Supervise day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing tasks, and monitoring standards;
  • Manage by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees to reward, coach, correct, and motivate;
  • Assist in developing new business services for the client and implement the service programs;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies (e.g., certifications, licenses, safety, operations, personnel);
  • Establish operating standards, implement quality improvements, and communicate them to employees;
  • Create a safe work environment through safety training, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety standards;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Experience in facilities (maintenance, operations, engineering, grounds, custodial, transportation) or food services (food, concessions, retail, vending).
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems, e.g., Maximo.
  • Project and events management experience.
