Operations Manager

Position Overview: The Operations Manager will report to the General Manager and oversee day‑to‑day operations of a Class A property at 525 W Monroe, Chicago. This role focuses on delivering a high‑quality service experience, building lasting relationships with tenants, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Property Management support and Maintenance teams to deliver a best‑in‑class customer‑focused experience.
• Maintain and deepen tenant relationships through hospitality and operational services.
• Understand tenant business needs and leverage platform to solve real‑estate challenges.
• Review lease proposals; facilitate space tours for prospective tenants.
• Coordinate ZO event programming to build community atmosphere.
• Assist the General Manager to drive overall amenity engagement.
• Lead a cross‑functional team to meet corporate objectives, policies, and standards.
• Mentor direct reports, identify growth opportunities, set career development objectives.
• Develop the annual operating budget and capital plan; present to stakeholders.
• Prepare financial reporting on P&L variances, quarterly re‑forecasting, and investor reports.
• Oversee third‑party maintenance contractors to ensure contractual compliance.
• Facilitate pre‑built and landlord‑built tenant spaces.
• Supervise all base building capital and major repair/maintenance projects; track and manage finances.
• Support the Property Management team on projects and communications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a comparable role within real estate or hotel industry.
• Bachelor’s degree required; focus on hospitality or real estate preferred.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Financial acumen covering costs, budgets, service contracts, and arrears.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel between floors and buildings.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $80,000‑$90,000 per annum. Eligible for discretionary annual bonus and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with matching contributions, and wellness programs.
