About Civic Debate Academy

Civic Debate Academy (CDA) is the top-ranked debate program in the United States. Headquartered in Chicago, CDA has taught hundreds of students to think critically, solve problems, and use their voices. The Role

We're looking for a Class Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our after-school class program while also serving as an instructor. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends program management, parent communication, staff oversight, and direct teaching.

Classes run in the evenings after school, so this role requires consistent evening availability. Extended hours may occasionally be needed during peak seasons.

Qualifications

Required

• Experience in education
• Availability to work one weekend day
• Availability for afternoon and evening hours, typically 2:00-10:00 PM CT

Preferred

• Demonstrated competitive debate success (e.g., elimination rounds at major tournaments)
• Experience in an administrative role
• 2+ years of debate education experience

Compensation

$60,000 annual salary, plus an end-of-year performance-based bonus.
