Job summary

Fujitec America in Tukwila, WA is seeking a seasoned operations and service manager to oversee field service, safety, budgeting, and quality audits across installations and repairs.

You will forecast labor and materials, manage payroll and cost reports, and coordinate with owners, contractors and elevator consultants to ensure on-time, within-budget execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in engineering, construction, or business management required.
  • Minimum 5 years in related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Local Travel Expectations: 15%

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Administer company safety program, including performing safety audits when necessary and stressing the importance of safety to all employees.

Visit job sites and perform quality audits to ensure that route work is being completed efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.

Ensure that New Installation and modernization job audits are performed within 15 days of construction and modernization turnovers. Includes identifying issues that could potentially affect the overall reliability of the equipment and providing feedback and recommendations for the improvement of future installations.

Use accounting reports and internal systems to review route management and callbacks. Includes making necessary changes to improve profitability.

Provide technical input to sales staff on the scope of work and materials needed to bid repair or service work. Includes calculating labor and material costs.

Administer parts program for contract service and repair to meet budget expectations and customer satisfaction

Efficiently scheduling labor resources and managing performance to estimates.

Managing an operating budget to ensure the branch service budget is met.

Responsible for forecasting labor, material, and field performance each month.

Responsible for ensuring our monthly service & repair plans are met, both revenue and margin.

Ensure weekly payroll is accurate and implement changes when needed.

Administer parts program for contract service and repair to meet budget expectations and customer satisfaction.

Use accounting reports and program to review job status to identify risk and opportunity, including properly reporting fade issues prior to revenue.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with owner, contractors, elevator consultants.

Mediate and resolve complaints and problems of external and internal customers, including meeting with local business agents to resolve issues involving union employees.

This role manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise employee(s) and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. The individual also directly supervises nonsupervisory employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. All hiring, coaching, performance management and terminations are to be in coordination with HR support and approval.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s in engineering, construction, or business management

Experience: Minimum 5 years in related

Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.

Local Travel Expectations: 15%

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

Job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.

When the employee has cause to visit a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.

Requires prompt, reliable, regular, and in‑person attendance at the office to oversee shared services functions and/or employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require a flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.

The current base pay scale for this position and career level is bolded below:

Level I: $67,772 to $84,922

Level II: $81,169 to $103,903

Level III: $95,545 to $123,861

Level IV: $120,643 to $144,525

This base pay range represents the anticipated low and high range of wages for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. [For sales only: This role is also eligible for commissions subject to the terms of the IC agreement.]

In addition to base pay, full-time employees are eligible for insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and long-term disability) and a 401(k) plan, all subject to the terms and conditions of those plans, which may change from time to time. Employees are also eligible for certain paid‑time off benefits pursuant to our policies (which may change from time to time) and applicable laws.
