• Monitor KPIs including labor efficiency, machine utilization, scrap, throughput, WIP, inventory, and overtime.
• Support AS9100 quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Well-established and rapidly growing machine shop serving the aerospace, defense and advanced industrial manufacturing industries seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team in Tucson, AZ. We have been in business for over 20 years and we specialize in complex CNC milling and turning using modern equipment, including multiple Haas 5-axis machining centers, CMM inspection, water jet, laser marking, and other advanced manufacturing technologies.

We're looking for an experienced General Manager who is ready to take ownership of our daily operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving manufacturing systems, and delivering exceptional results

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations
• Own the production schedule and ensure machines remain productive
• Drive on-time delivery, quality, and operational performance
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 18 employees
• Monitor key performance metrics including labor efficiency, machine utilization, scrap, throughput, WIP, inventory, and overtime
• Support AS9100 quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CNC manufacturing experience
• 5+ years in a production or operations management role
• Experience leading teams of 15+ employees
• ERP system experience
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AS9100 manufacturing experience
• Aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing background
• JobBoss or similar ERP experience
• Haas CNC and 5-axis machining knowledge
• Six Sigma or Lean certification

This is a direct-hire, long term career opportunity, the starting base pay range is $110K-$140K (doe) plus excellent benefits, incentives and refrigerated air conditioning.
