Position Overview
The Operations Manager reports to the District Operations Manager and oversees the Service team to achieve operational excellence throughout the gym. The role includes customer service, tracking revenue goals, managing retail and member fees compliance, inspecting gym functionality, and partnering with Sales, Fitness, Facilities, and Marketing teams to maintain brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide an elevated member experience by listening to member needs and responding with clarity.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff members across kids club, front desk, and janitorial functions.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring shared understanding.
- Deliver constructive feedback to staff on performance strengths and improvement areas.
- Address member concerns or complaints, managing membership inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain certifications, and implement safety protocols.
- Supervise facility maintenance and cleanliness, including equipment and common areas.
- Collaborate with Sales, Fitness, Facilities, and Marketing to improve gym performance and uphold brand standards.
- Monitor and order inventory such as fitness equipment, cleaning supplies, and retail products.
- Communicate calmly and clearly in emergencies or unexpected disruptions to ensure safety.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of operations management experience.
- 3-4 years of customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship‑building and influencing skills at all levels.
- Detail‑oriented with systematic problem‑solving and good time‑management.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Experience or strong interest in the fitness industry is a plus.

Requirements
- Must pass a background check.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Knowledge of company policies and SOPs to ensure adherence.
- Ability to work in a gym setting, moving across floors and rooms.
- Proficiency in company computer systems for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift more than 40 lbs.; lift frequently.
Salary
$58,656 – $66,000 USD
