International Executive Service Corps is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the operations department, supervise Operations Supervisors, and ensure day-to-day service delivery in line with policy and applicable laws.

You will monitor performance, ensure staff are trained and licensed where applicable, manage budgets and staffing plans, resolve customer inquiries, and coordinate with government or city staff as needed to support service outcomes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Management experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of employee training, supervision and evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Manages site operations in line with established plans.
  • Allocates assignments to ensure safe, efficient operations.
  • Ensures staff are trained and licensed where applicable.
  • Follows policies, procedures and applicable agreements.
  • Implements corrective actions to avoid infractions.
  • Maintains operation records and prepares reports.
  • Handles customer inquiries and billing disputes.
  • Assists in budgets and staffing plans.
  • Represents the company in community activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Role of the Operations Manager

Oversees the operations department including day-to-day supervision of Operations Supervisors and the operations service function. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manages operations of site consistent with established operating plans.
  • Confirms employee’s assignments are allocated for efficient and effective operations. Monitors work to ensure safe, efficient, effective, and compliant operations.
  • Establishes that all employees are properly trained and licensed (if applicable) to operate and/or maintain all equipment.
  • Ensures policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreement (as applicable) are followed.
  • Identifies all potential rule infractions and implements corrective actions and/or processes to avoid future infractions.
  • Maintains and generates records of operations and submits reports as directed. Generates and analyzes operational reports and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Investigates and resolves customer inquiries and complaints not resolved by subordinates. Adjusts rate and billing disputes as necessary.
  • Prepares or assists in preparing budgets and plans for equipment and staffing.
  • May work directly with government/city staff on behalf of the company.
  • Represents the company in community activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Management experience in an industrial, construction, manufacturing, recycling/waste management environment or related industry.
  • Principles of employee training, supervision, and evaluation.
  • Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.
  • Bilingual preferred
