Job summary

Rehlko is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead all operational functions across the region, including Engineering, Workshop, Hire Desk, Administration, Transport and Stores. You will ensure cross-department collaboration to deliver exceptional customer service and meet operational and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational performance of the Huntingdon and Norwich depots.
  • Provide leadership to engineering, transport, workshop, administration and hire teams.
  • Own regional administration including contract management, invoicing and reporting.
  • Drive planning, communication and performance management for operations.
  • Ensure all customer contractual obligations and service levels are met.
  • Improve fleet availability through workshop planning and engineering resources.

About The Role

You will lead all operational functions across the region including Engineering, Workshop, Hire Desk, Administration, Transport and Stores, ensuring every department operates collaboratively to deliver outstanding customer service whilst achieving operational and commercial objectives.

As Regional Operations Manager you will be responsible for developing a culture of ownership, professionalism and continuous improvement whilst ensuring contractual obligations, safety standards and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

You will work closely with senior leadership to develop operational strategies, improve depot performance, maximise fleet utilisation and protect profitability across the region.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Lead the operational performance of the Huntingdon and Norwich depots.
  • Provide leadership to engineering, transport, workshop, administration and hire teams.
  • Take ownership of all regional administration ensuring accurate contract management, invoicing, documentation and reporting.
  • Drive operational excellence through robust planning, communication and performance management.
  • Ensure all customer contractual obligations and service levels are achieved.
  • Improve fleet availability through effective workshop planning and engineering resource management.
  • Maximise fleet utilisation whilst protecting asset condition and presentation.
  • Develop depot teams through coaching, mentoring and structured performance management.
  • Review operational KPIs and implement improvement plans where required.
  • Ensure all equipment leaving the depot meets company quality standards.
  • Lead customer escalations and operational reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement across every operational process.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced operational leader who has managed complex engineering, logistics or hire operations.

You Will Demonstrate
  • Strong leadership experience managing multiple operational departments.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to improve profitability.
  • Experience managing operational KPIs.
  • Strong people management and coaching ability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • The confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.

Experience within Generator Hire, Temporary Power, Plant Hire or associated industries is highly desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from exceptional operational leaders with transferable experience from engineering, fleet, logistics, industrial services or technical service environments.
