Job summary

The role demands hands-on leadership, deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, and strict adherence to AS9100 quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in manufacturing operations or production management.
• Direct aerospace manufacturing experience and AS9100 quality standards required.
• Proven ability to manage production teams and develop employees.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, maintenance, quality control, and efficiency.
• Experience with process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations across electric motor manufacturing, repair, and winding.
• Build and lead manufacturing teams through coaching and development.
• Maintain AS9100 compliance, oversee corrective actions, ensure quality requirements.
• Identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, implement continuous improvement.
• Promote safety culture and oversee maintenance and facility operations.
• Manage staffing, priorities, resources to meet KPIs and financial objectives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize methods and investments.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and senior leadership to resolve challenges.

We're hiring an OperationsManager to lead manufacturing operations within a highly regulated aerospace environment. This position is responsible for driving production performance, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple manufacturing functions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical manufacturing knowledge, a hands-on leadership approach, and a proven ability to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

What You'll Do (The Impact)

• Oversee daily production operationsacross electric motor manufacturing, repair, and winding operations, ensuring efficient resource utilization and consistent execution of production schedules.
• Build and lead skilled manufacturing teams through coaching, performance management, training, and employee development while fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100 aerospace quality standards, oversee corrective actions, and ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet established quality requirements.
• Identify production bottlenecks, streamline manufacturing processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase throughput and reduce inefficiencies.
• Promote a strong safety culture while overseeing workplace conditions, equipment readiness, preventive maintenance, and overall facility operations.
• Manage staffing, production priorities, and departmental resources to meet delivery commitments, operational KPIs, and financial objectives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize production methods, improve equipment reliability, and evaluate capital equipment investments.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and senior leadership to resolve operational challenges and support broader business objectives.

What You Bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant manufacturing experience.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, production management, or a closely related field.
• Direct experience in aerospace manufacturing and AS9100 quality standards is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage production teams, develop employees, address performance challenges, and maintain a productive work environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, equipment maintenance, quality control, and operational efficiency.
• Experience implementing process improvements, optimizing workflows, and driving measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost.
• Ability to manage production KPIs, departmental budgets, workforce allocation, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
