The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all daily manufacturing operations. This role provides strategic direction and hands‑on leadership to ensure operational excellence, on‑time delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The Operations Manager drives performance across production, workforce development, and process efficiency while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and quality.

Requirements
  • Provide leadership and direction to production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer specifications, and all applicable regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Oversee daily operations including production scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team leads to strengthen leadership capability and succession planning
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, process standardization)
  • Implement and maintain effective training programs to ensure workforce competency and adaptability to process changes
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR to support operational goals
  • Ensure effective communication across shifts and departments to maintain alignment and operational continuity
  • Represent the organization professionally with customers, auditors, and external stakeholders as required
  • Lead by example in demonstrating company values, ethical standards, and commitment to excellence
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience in a precision manufacturing environment)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in aerospace, defense, power generation or other highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and achieve measurable results
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make data‑driven decisions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization
  • Experience in production planning, capacity management, and resource allocation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated experience navigating OEM requirements, particularly as they relate to the manufacturing and quality standards for engine components.
