Job summary

Hydrotech, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to provide leadership over daily operations across manufacturing, service/repair and logistics at Hydrotech/Isaacs facilities. You will drive the annual operating plan and build a culture of integrity, collaboration and accountability.

You will mentor managers, set benchmarks, and coordinate with senior leaders to deliver results and support company growth and safety, quality and customer focus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering or Operations; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years of operations, service or project management experience.
  • Previous leadership experience and training.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Sets strategic direction for the operational area of the Company.
  • Develops and implements programs that drive long term operational improvements.
  • Day to day operations management including planning, scheduling, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and process improvements.
  • Provides direction and leadership for all aspects of multiple operations departments.
  • Coaches, councils and trains department managers to improve skills.
  • Develops benchmarks and metrics for measuring operational performance.
  • Executes structural and personnel changes to ensure success.
  • Collaborates with senior leaders to implement best practices across locations.
  • Mentors and develops associates; plans, assigns, and directs work; manages budgets.

Job description

The Operations Manager will provide overall management leadership and responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Hydrotech/Isaacs facilities including financial, operations, growth, safety, quality community interaction and the business objectives. Drive the effective execution of the annual operating plan (AOP) for the locations. The Operations Manager drives excellence in the company’s operations and develops managers and supervisors who lead day-to-day operational departments staffed by hourly employees. These departments are manufacturing, service/repair and logistics. The Operations Manager is a key member of the company’s leadership team, taking responsibility for delivering results to support overall goals while supporting all aspects of the Company’s overall activities. Contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sets strategic direction for the operational area of the Company.
  • Develops and implements programs, projects and changes that drive long term, measurable improvement in the operational performance of the company.
  • Day to day operations management including planning, execution, scheduling, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and process improvements.
  • Provides direction and leadership for all aspects of multiple operations departments.
  • Coaches, councils and trains the department managers and supervisors to improve individual skills.
  • Develops and communicates benchmarks and metrics for measuring and improving operational performance.
  • Devises and executes structural and personnel changes needed to ensure success.
  • Is a key driver in the company’s management team contributing to long-term Company excellence.
  • Coordinates closely with other senior leaders across the organization.
  • Assists the General Manager in creating the annual company strategy and Operating Plan. Takes ownership of the Operations sections of both documents.
  • Collaborates with other senior operations leaders across Corporate divisions and ensures that best practices are implemented and shared across locations.
  • Focuses on mentoring, coaching, and developing associates internally; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management; project budgets.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education/ExperienceBachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering or Operations; or equivalent experience.
  • A significant career track record in Operations and appropriate position related training.
  • Minimum of four years of previous operations, service or field or project management experience
  • Previous leadership experience and training.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Travel as required to lead team members at multiple locations. (Minimal – up to 10% of the time)
