Job summary

Ecowaste Solutions in Springdale, AR seeks a General Manager to own regional P&L across multiple sites and business units, overseeing fleet and driver operations, sales, service, and daily operations with substantial autonomy and accountability.

The role requires 5+ years of multi-site leadership, proven profit growth, DOT-regulated fleet experience, and strong people leadership. You will build a high-performance team, manage budgets, and drive safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of multi-site or regional operations management experience required.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial management experience required.
  • Experience managing DOT-regulated drivers and fleets required.
  • Solid waste, waste hauling, logistics, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of improving operational performance and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and hold accountable a geographically dispersed team.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with standard business and operations software; ability to work with financial reports and data.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor driver performance, safety records, and hours-of-service compliance.
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable all site managers and operational staff within your region.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs and support retention efforts across your sites.
  • Address employee relations issues promptly and in line with company policy.
  • Build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition and retention of existing accounts.
  • Support site-level sales efforts and step in on key accounts or escalations as needed.
  • Monitor service levels and respond to customer concerns with a sense of urgency.
  • Ensure consistent service delivery across all sites within your region.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions that improve performance and reduce cost.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.

General Manager

Ecowaste Solutions is a fast-growing company in a stable, essential industry, and our General Managers own their region like it's their own business. This is a multi-site, multi-business-unit leadership role with full P&L ownership and heavy accountability for fleet and driver performance across your territory. You'll be responsible for personnel, sales, service, and operations all at once, with the autonomy to make real decisions and the accountability to back them up. If you've led a region or multiple sites before, know how to drive financial results while keeping a DOT-regulated fleet running safely, and want true ownership over your market, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

P&L and Financial Management

  • Own the full P&L for your region across multiple sites and business units.
  • Monitor financial performance, control costs, and drive profitability.
  • Develop and manage regional budgets; analyze variances and implement corrective action.
  • Report financial results and operational metrics to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Fleet and Driver Operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, heavy equipment, and active operational environments during site visits.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and travel for extended periods.
