Western Coating in Ogden, UT seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead safety, warehouse operations, inventory control and machinery maintenance. You will drive efficiency, supervise up to 50 staff, and partner with Sales to meet production targets.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and prior supervisory experience in manufacturing. The role requires hands-on leadership and commitment to lean principles and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of rebar fabrication and powder coating equipment (preferred).
• Familiarity with MS Office and production software.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall safety and operation of warehouse activities, inventory management and machinery maintenance.
• Manage facility production operations including raw material receiving, warehousing, and delivery.
• Coordinate logistics with company tractors, trailers and third-party haulage.
• Collaborate with Sales to achieve efficient production levels.
• Train, develop and coach production employees; apply Lean principles.
• Ensure timely communication with internal and external customers and across shop, field placing, detailing, and project coordination.
• Maintain safe work practices inside production premises for all employees and visitors.

Western Coating's Operations department,seeks a knowledgeable and dependable individual to join their team as Operations Manager I. In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance to the overall safety and operation of all warehouse activities, inventory management, and machinery maintenance.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Recognition, knowledge and understanding of various coating specifications, steel grades, material properties specific to Western Coating product line.
• Management of all facility production operations including raw material receiving, warehousing, & delivery.
• Coordinating logistics including company owned tractors, trailers and any third-party haulage.
• Collaboration with Sales to achieve efficient production levels.
• Training, Development and Coaching of production employees.
• Applying Lean principles through continuous improvement.
• Promoting and facilitating timely communication with internal and external customers and between shop fabrication, field placing, detailing, and project coordination.
• Ensuring safe work practices are implemented and observed by all employees and/or non-employees at all times while inside the production premises.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior knowledge of rebar fabrication equipment including shear lines, tabletop benders, vertical automatic benders, radius bending, spiral, Lenton threading, & Barsplice headed bar.
• Prior knowledge of powder coating equipment including material handling, blast cleaning, induction heating, and powder application.
• Computer skills using the suite of Microsoft Office tools & aSa production software.
• Knowledge of crane operation and certifications, & safe operation.
• Knowledge of employee, facility and environmental safety and OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of DOT equipment and driver requirements.
• Able to effectively manage a team of up to approximately 50 individuals.
