Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: New York – hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and the company is unable to sponsor work visas.
Overview
The Operations Manager will lead and deploy customer agreements across our life science portfolio, own management and coordination of critical projects and initiatives, and streamline internal operations across the company.
Key Responsibilities and Impact
- Delivery Operations: Own complex projects and deliverables, leading internal and external coordination throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure successful delivery of RWD products and services.
- Project Management: Independently manage multiple projects with various tools; develop work plans, track progress, mitigate risk, and resolve issues.
- Problem Solving: Lead initiatives to resolve complex cross‑functional issues, identify bottlenecks, produce data‑driven solutions, and ensure operational continuity.
- Process Improvement & Operational Scaling: Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, streamline operations, and drive adoption across the organization.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, inspire teams, and maintain alignment on goals and status.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to product development and refinement for Verana’s customer segments.

What You Bring To The Table
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, public health, biological sciences, engineering, or mathematics (or equivalent experience).
- 3‑6 years of client‑facing consulting experience, preferably healthcare‑focused; experience at a data/analytics or technology firm also considered.
- Demonstrated project management skills with multiple concurrent projects, high‑level oversight, and day‑to‑day operational support.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to translate technical content to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with analytical tools, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Organized and committed to reducing complexity.
- Interest in engaging oncology providers or biopharma partners to advance research and business strategies using RWE.
- Curiosity about healthcare data and passion to impact healthcare delivery.
- Based in New York; occasional travel required.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of data analytics and/or oncology.
- Technical implementation experience.
- Direct oversight of junior team members.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency in SQL Workbench.

Salary Range
$114,000 - $135,000 (geographic premium may be applied to base salary)
