Job summary

TETRA Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced site operations leader in Magnolia, Arkansas. The role focuses on safety, environmental compliance, quality, and continuous improvement across field operations.

Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with 6–10+ years of manufacturing experience, and a willingness to travel up to 10%. OSHA PSM plant experience is preferred and background checks will be conducted.

  • 6–10+ years manufacturing experience.
  • Travel up to 10% as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site operations with focus on safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, costs, and lean manufacturing.
  • Ensure field personnel understand and follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Coach field supervisors in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
  • Develop and deliver training on safe work practices and incident reporting.
  • Support quality objectives ensuring product quality and process reliability.
  • Meet or exceed production targets and optimize yield and operating costs.

  • Lead site operations with a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with regulatory and company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety performance, compliance, operating costs, material variances, capital projects, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure all field personnel understand, follow, and comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and operational discipline.
  • Coach and mentor field supervisors and team leads in incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and the development of accurate, actionable corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Develop and deliver training for field personnel on safe work practices, including JSEA completion, incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and company safety programs.
  • Support and actively participate in the organization’s quality objectives, ensuring consistent product quality and process reliability.
  • Meet or exceed targets for production output, on-time shipping, yield optimization, and operating costs; identify performance gaps and partner cross‑functionally to implement sustainable improvements.
  • Plan, staff, and manage operations resources to ensure adequate coverage, workforce effectiveness, and operational continuity.
  • Develop operational strategies and execution plans for assigned areas of responsibility; execute plans and deliver agreed-un results aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and HSEQ teams to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support site performance, business priorities, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
  • EXPERIENCE: 6-10+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • TRAVEL: 10%
  • OTHER:
    • OSHA PSM Plant experience
    • Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
