Job summary

Persona Services Group is seeking a results-driven plant/general manager to direct and optimize operations across production, maintenance, shipping, and related activities in a manufacturing facility.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and process-improvement capabilities, with responsibility for safety, cost control, and achieving operational goals. Monday–Friday, salary-exempt, full-time position in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 5 years of plant/general management experience.
• Experience with manufacturing methods and process improvements preferred.
• Familiarity with budgets and financial statements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
• Lead teams to meet manufacturing objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Develop and control plans, budgets and profits for the facility.
• Control capital expenditures, operating expenses, manpower levels, hours worked, and wages.
• Oversee capital assets and expenditures management.
• Maintain and improve plant facilities and equipment; arrange repairs as needed.
• Provide leadership and training to production leads to achieve company goals.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain shop floor organization and plant cleanliness; ensure a safe working environment.
• Direct and develop production leads and staff.

Job Summary

Direct and manage all plant operations in the production facility with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, shipping, and other production-related activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
• Manage plant activities with lead people to insure manufacturing objectives are met in timely and cost-effective manner.
• Develop and control plans, budgets and profits for this facility.
• Control capital expenditures, operating expenses, manpower levels, hours worked, and wages.
• Manage capital assets and expenditures.
• Control and manage labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.
• Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, repair, or make adjustment to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Incorporate and manage shop floor organization and plant cleanliness with plant personnel.
• Lead the effort to maintain a safe, clean, healthy working environment.
• Provide direction, development, and leadership to production leads.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or five years in plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
• Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements is preferred

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a salary exempt, full-time position Monday through Friday. Hours will vary to cover all work shifts.
