Job summary

Verus Engineering, an automotive performance business on the West Side of Indianapolis, is seeking an Operations Manager. You will lead a team of 6–10 people, own end-to-end warehouse operations, and implement structured feedback to improve processes within defined systems.

This leadership role emphasizes hands-on floor involvement, accountability, and daily results-driven performance management to support growth and excellence in manufacturing and distribution.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years managing warehouse, production, or fulfillment operations.
• Experience managing 5–20 people, including hourly workers.
• Background in small-to-mid manufacturing or distribution ($5M–$30M revenue).
• Proven proactive problem-solver with data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate warehouse, fulfillment, and shipping operations from end-to-end.
• Manage and develop an efficient team; review weekly performance data, verify accuracy, and hold the team to standards.
• Identify and solve operational problems proactively, before they become fires.
• Have direct, timely accountability conversations when performance doesn’t meet expectations.
• Make decisions using documented decision frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement in on-time delivery, quality, and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

This isn’t a strategy role; it’s a leadership role for someone who stays close to the work and drives results every day. As the Operations Manager You'll manage and grow a team of 6-10 people, scaling it alongside the leadership structure needed to support that growth, while executing within defined systems and providing structured feedback to improve them over time. The Operations Manager will have opportunities for development as Verus continues to grow and evolve.
