Operations Manager – Corrugated Packaging

Elmwood Park, NJ | $120,000–$150,000 + Benefits

Full-Time | Permanent | Direct Hire

Corrugated packaging manufacturing experience is essential.

We are recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to lead a corrugated box manufacturing operation in Elmwood Park, NJ.

You will oversee approximately 150–200 employees, drive operational improvements, develop leadership teams and implement positive cultural change across the facility.

This position requires a hands‑on manufacturing leader with a proven background in the corrugated box manufacturing industry.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead daily corrugated packaging manufacturing operations.
• Manage and develop a workforce of 150–200 employees.
• Improve productivity, efficiency, quality and manufacturing performance.
• Drive positive cultural change, accountability and employee engagement.
• Reduce waste, downtime and operational costs.
• Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop production managers, supervisors and team leaders.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality and production planning teams.
• Maintain high standards of workplace safety and compliance.

What We're Looking For

• Direct experience within corrugated box or corrugated packaging manufacturing.
• Previous leadership experience as an Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager or senior Production Manager.
• Experience managing large manufacturing teams.
• Proven success improving operational performance and productivity.
• Experience implementing cultural change and developing leadership teams.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, production processes and continuous improvement.
• A visible, hands‑on leadership style.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.
• ISO or SQF knowledge.
• Experience supporting manufacturing audits and compliance.
