Job summary

Camping World in Elkhart, IN seeks an Operations Manager to maximize installation and service revenue while ensuring quality and timely completions. You will supervise the Service Department, shop staff, train personnel on new products and safety, and monitor schedules, productivity, and budgets to meet targets.

You’ll provide cradle-to-grave customer service, assist with phones, maintain a safe work area, and may cross-train for additional duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety and operating manuals.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and plan schedules for coverage.
• Communicate professionally and tactfully with customers and staff.
• Strong report writing and analytical skills.
• Valid driver's license required; forklift certification preferred or attainable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily service department activities and shop personnel.
• Maximize installation and service revenue through quality work and timely completions.
• Train employees on new products and safety procedures.
• Monitor schedules, productivity, and labor reports; manage budgets with Service Manager.

Camping World is seeking an Operations Manager for our growing team.What You’ll Do:Maximizes installation sales, installation fees and service fees through ensuring quality, timely product installations and repairsSupervises daily Service Department activitiesSupervises shop personnel providing support with technical installationsTrains employees on new products and safety proceduresMonitors and reviews work schedules, customer letters and comments, technician productivity and labor control reportsTracks monthly departmental resultsReviews departmental budget with Service Manager to maximize installation sales and feesAssures productivity standards are metProvides \"cradle to grave\" customer serviceMay answer phones and provide assistanceMaintains a safe work area for customers and coworkersPerforms other miscellaneous duties as assignedMay cross train to perform other dutiesWhat You’ll Need to Have for the Role:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAbility to handle multiple tasks, plan and prepare work schedules for optimum coverageAbility to communicate in a professional and tactful mannerAbility to prioritize work assignments & analyze and write reportsAbility to provide accurate and helpful information to customerAbility to handle problems and facilitate successful outcomesWillingness to accept additional tasks, duties and/or direction from managementSome supervisory experience preferredBasic math skillsComprehensive knowledge of product installation activitiesWorking knowledge of the activities, methods, procedures and policies of a Service Department environmentGeneral knowledge of products, installation schedules, product prices and current sale itemsForklift experience/certification preferred or ability to be certified requiredValid Driver's License RequiredMay lift up to 25 lbs. and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devicesProlonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bendingExposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipmentEnvironmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetnessGeneral Compensation DisclosureThe pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the total annual compensation range (base pay + variable compensation earned) is $60,000 - $90,000 or more.
