Operations Manager – Finance/Crypto Start-Up

Location: Remote (Hybrid optional for Dallas, TX-based candidates)

Compensation: DOE (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly versatile and resourceful Operations Manager to support the Chief of Staff and COO at a fast-paced, high-growth finance/crypto start-up. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, adapts quickly, and can manage multiple initiatives across all facets of the business. The ideal candidate is a Swiss army knife—equally comfortable running operations, tackling special projects, and rolling up their sleeves wherever needed. A background in finance (crypto a plus) is highly desirable.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, gain exposure to strategic decision-making, and have a direct impact on scaling a rapidly evolving organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Chief of Staff and COO to drive execution of strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Manage and track operational workflows across finance, product, people, and business development functions.
  • Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and key milestones, ensuring priorities are met with speed and accuracy
  • Conduct research, financial analysis, and data-driven reporting to support executive decision-making.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks; create scalable processes as the business grows.
  • Act as a bridge between executives, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring strong communication and alignment.
  • Handle special projects as assigned—ranging from vendor negotiations to market research to process improvements.
  • Foster accountability across teams by setting clear objectives, monitoring progress, and providing status updates to leadership.
  • Anticipate challenges, find creative solutions, and independently leverage resources to figure things out.
  • Maintain discretion with sensitive financial and operational information.

Qualifications

  • Location: Remote; hybrid optional for candidates based in Dallas, TX.
  • Experience: 4–7+ years in operations, strategy, finance, or a similar role (start-up experience strongly preferred).
  • Background in finance; crypto/blockchain knowledge a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented; comfortable with financial models, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools (Slack, Asana, Notion, etc.).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working with limited oversight.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability; thrives in a start-up culture.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary (DOE).
  • Remote-first work structure (with optional hybrid for Dallas HQ).
  • Exposure to executive leadership and cross-functional business operations.
  • Opportunity for professional growth in a dynamic, rapidly scaling finance/crypto start-up.
