Mersino Dewatering Incorporated in Indiana seeks a Field Operations Manager to oversee staff, coordinate field projects, and ensure timely, quality execution from the field. You will guide crews, review project plans, and collaborate with Account Managers to meet client requirements while maintaining professional job sites.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong planning skills, and the ability to read schematics and budgets.

Competenze

• Associates degree in Construction Management or related field is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• 3 years of experience in managing construction projects and supervisory roles.
• Strong reading of schematics/blueprints and technical manuals; budgeting and bidding knowledge.

Job Summary:Manage, direct, and evaluate the staff and daily activities of all projects from a field perspectiveTypical Duties and Responsibilities:Provide leadership to all employees by exampleAssist Account Managers in design proposals, quotes, and project schedules by walking jobsites, reviewing project plans and specifications, and occasionally making sales calls along with AMsCoordinate with LOGISTICS and SALES AND MARKETING to ensure all equipment needs for on-going projects can be met prior to committing said resources to the customersCoordinate with LOGISTICS and SALES & MARKETING to ensure the appropriate personnel are allocated to projects according to their skills and experience and the needs of the projectsWork directly with Crew Leaders, training personnel on proper field procedures to ensure productive and quality work, as well as to ensure that assigned equipment (service truck, drill rigs, fusion machines, etc.) is well maintained and kept in good conditionEffectively communicate the status of all projects to the Branch Manager in a timely fashionMake routine visits to all major projects during installation to ensure quality processes are in place and adhered to and that production rates meet expectationsHelp to ensure that crews understand the expectations of the company respecting job layouts, cleanliness, and that our jobs are set up in a professional mannerReview production reports to ensure that crews are achieving expected production rates on all projects, identifying problems that could be related to potential change condition scenarios or poor crew efficiencyWork with Account Managers and their customers in addressing concerns and issues involving projects and their processesTroubleshoot all problems encountered on every project and works with Account Managers to correct problem areasAid in determining the appropriate response with regards to all customer serviceHelp to ensure the completion of all company reports and paperwork thoroughly and on timeAssist with sales at the request of the Branch ManagerAssist in developing new methods and procedures, leading the company into new and improved practices and technologiesImplement and enforce all company policies and procedures with respect to field operationsAttend company meetings and industry workshops and conferences when requestedEnsures that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activitiesQualifications:Required:Associate degree in Construction Management or related field3 years experience in managing construction projectsSupervisory experiencePlanning and organizational skills in handling multiple projectsProficient in PC software applicationsAbility to work with others in addressing inner organizational issuesAbility to read schematics, blueprints, and/or technical manualsKnowledge of budgeting, cost estimating and bidding proceduresSkills in workflow analysis and managementKnowledge of contract documents and specificationsPreferred:Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related fieldSpecific Expectations:A professional demeanorExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to work flexible schedule to meet job requirementsAbility to travelRequires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkwardDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
