Jacobs is seeking a Regional Operations Manager - Industrial Wastewater to oversee two Colorado locations. This hands-on role requires weekly site visits and strong leadership to drive safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across contracts.
You will mentor onsite managers and operators, manage budgets and monthly reports, and guide teams through SCADA and data systems while ensuring permit compliance and environmental standards.
Our client is in search of a Regional Operations Manager – Industrial Wastewater
I am currently partnering with an outstanding private sector industrial client to find a dedicated Regional Operations Manager to oversee two critical locations in Colorado, and I am looking for a leader who is ready to make a significant impact. You must be able to travel to the sites weekly, so this is a very hands on role.
I am searching for a professional to be the cornerstone of my client's onsite contract operations teams. In this role, you will direct all project activities within your assigned portfolio and serve as the primary relationship manager for their technical and management personnel. I need someone who can ensure consistent client confidence, satisfaction, and proactive problem-solving. This position requires about 10% travel to frequently visit sites for client meetings, inspections, and operational compliance checks.
First and foremost, I need to see a valid "Grade B Industrial Wastewater Treatment" license for the state of Colorado, though a Grade A license is warmly welcomed. You will need a high school diploma and at least six years of hands‑on experience at an industrial or municipal water/wastewater treatment facility, including project management experience with financial and technical accountability. I am looking for someone with at least three years of proven experience at the supervisory level. They are open to relocation as well. If you have a license from another state the client will be open to consider if it transferable.
I am specifically looking for a leader who passionately values team development and a safe, inclusive work culture. You will provide essential support, mentoring, and leadership to onsite managers and operators, motivating extraordinary, self‑starting efforts from your team. You will be responsible for leading operations and maintenance personnel development, implementing training programs for all associate levels, and executing performance reviews. My client relies on their managers to champion affirmative action and diversity efforts, and you will be tasked with mentoring new project managers using clear, written advancement plans.
I need a candidate who can guarantee these facilities maintain the highest levels of operational and regulatory compliance, strictly adhering to local, state, and federal water quality permit requirements. You must be deeply familiar with industrial operations, including basic fluid flow, process equipment, and control instrumentation. A major part of your day‑to‑day will involve leading safety, process control, cost‑savings, and sustainability efforts. You will maintain the quality of deliverables at the high levels expected by both my client and Jacobs, consistently hitting Key Performance Indicators and managing monthly contract service reports and budgets.
Because you will be managing remote operations, you must possess strong virtual communication skills to keep everything running smoothly from afar. You will need to be highly proficient with SCADA, data entry, and Microsoft Suite, effortlessly managing various client software programs daily. Finally, you must possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions and have a proven ability to read, understand, and guide teams strictly by Industrial Regulations and Safety Standards.
