Overview

Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Midwest U.S. (Hybrid — 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Compensation Range: $95,000–$120,000 base + performance incentives.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Plant Manager; leads a team of 30–50 production staff.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams to achieve output and quality goals.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage production schedules, inventory control, and supply chain coordination.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and drive process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
  • Must-Have Requirements:
    • 5+ years of operations leadership experience in manufacturing.
    • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
    • Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
    • Solid understanding of production planning, supply chain, and inventory management.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Nice-to-Have/Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
    • Experience in industrial, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments.
    • ERP/MRP system experience.
Travel

Minimal (occasional visits to suppliers or sister facilities).
