Job summary

Pacific Coast Producers seeks an experienced Operations Manager for its Woodland, CA distribution center. You will oversee production labeling, maintenance, inventory, safety, and facility operations, reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or Engineering and at least 5 years of management experience in food manufacturing, with strong Excel/ERP skills and CBA experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing in a Collective Bargaining (CBA) environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word) and hands-on experience with ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards and WMS is a definite plus.
  • Strong background in managing multiple projects on tight deadlines with the ability to delegate effectively and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor facility performance for production and quality standards, implementing enhancements to increase output and reduce costs.
  • Develop and control profit plans and budgets; implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and labor.
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and leadership to shift supervisors, ensuring a culture of service and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the facility-wide safety program, sanitation protocols, and environmental standards to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Manage capital asset maintenance, including preventive maintenance programs and new capital projects proposals.
  • Administer policies and bargaining rules, managing personnel performance including training and discipline.

Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to lead our new Distribution Center in Woodland, CA. PCP is dedicated to investing in its people and fostering a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America. This facility is a year-round labeling and shipping operation with approximately 70 employees and three production lines.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain, this position has overall responsibility for production, safety, inventory, and facility-related activities. You will:

Requirements

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000/year (based on experience). This is a full‑time, on‑site role based at our distribution center in Woodland, CA.

The base salary range reflects the reasonable expectation for what the company anticipates paying for this role at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on factors including, but not limited to:
