Job summary

West Marine is seeking a supervisory leader to help achieve sales goals and guide store Crew Members in delivering exceptional customer service and product training. You will work under limited supervision to ensure customers leave with the right boating products for their needs.

Responsibilities include training, coaching, inventory and pricing audits, and leading operations across store hubs as needed. Starting pay ranges from $19.00-$20.00/hr with an extensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team to ensure excellent store operations.
• Actively greet and engage customers to meet their boating needs.
• Prioritize and plan to drive results and achieve business goals.
• Equip Crew Members to handle diverse transactions for seamless customer experiences.
• Oversee operations in Hub locations as required.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through perpetual counts, cycle counts, and related activities.
• Oversee pricing changes and pricing audits.
• Grow customer count, loyalty memberships, and store traffic.
• Plan and execute merchandising resets and maintain Planogram (POG) integrity.
• Enforce operational and personnel policies.
• Ensure payroll is accurate and timely.
• Verify compliance with Asset Protection standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean store environment.
• Adhere to all legal requirements and brand standards.
• Maintain knowledge through training.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Complete all open Omni orders by end of day.
• Serve as “Manager on Duty” during shifts.
• Perform other job-related responsibilities.

• Ensure the store and staff exemplify our brand and service standards.
• Maintain knowledge through company and industry-sponsored training.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Complete all open Omni orders by end of day.
• Serve as “Manager on Duty” during assigned shifts.
• Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities May Include

• Provide product knowledge and suggest additional items/services to customers.
• Drive customer experience to meet their needs and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS).
• Drive store conversion and add-on sales, including Plus Plans.
• Ensure staff and store reflect our brand's service excellence.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the retail space.
• Ability to wear and communicate through a headset continuously.
• Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting.
• Occasionally operate equipment, including forklifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height unassisted frequently.
