Job summary

NationalWindowFilm seeks an Operations Manager to lead union crews, schedule installations, and manage film inventory and warehouse operations. You will act as the company’s liaison with DC21 and other unions, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage rules and contract pay guidelines.

The role oversees safety programs, job-site coordination, and coordination with the contracts and insurance team to prepare pre-job paperwork and closeout. Travel across NJ/PA/DE/NYC is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing field crews for a construction trade contractor.
• Experience with unionized workforces and prevailing wage rules is preferred.
• Strong communication skills; ability to coordinate crews and schedules.

JobResponsibilities

PeopleManagement

• HireinstallersdirectlyorthroughDC21referrals,managethe60-dayprobation,andmakesurenewhiresapplytotheunionwithin30days
• Assigncrewsandappointworkingforemen.Reviewperformanceandcoach,discipline,ordischargeforpropercauseunderourunionagreements
• Actasthecompany'slaborrelationsrepresentativeongrievances,directthejob-sitesafetyprogram,andsitonthejointsafetyandpolicycommitteeswithDC21

UnionandLaborCompliance

• Serveasthecompany'scontactwithDC21andotherIUPATdistrictcouncils,andkeepNWFingoodstandingwithDC21anditsfunds
• OutsideDC21,sendIUPATjobnotices,staffcrewstonational-agreementlocal-hireratios,andfileweeklyemployeelists
• Classifyeachjobasstandard,prevailingwageorPLAbeforepricing,andconfirmcrewsholdrequiredcertifications
• Applycontractpayrules(shifts,heightrate,drivingtime,perdiem,show-uppay)andgetaccuratehourstopayrollsomonthlyremittancesandduesarefiledbythe30th.Thisroledoesnotperformbargaining-unitwork.

• ScheduleinstallationsinSIPS,balancingcustomerdates,crewskillsandavailability,siteaccessandmaterials
• ManagefilminventoryattheBoundBrookwarehouse,andorderontimefromsuppliers

FinancialManagement

• OwnNWF'soperatingresultsbymanagingjobprofitabilityandcontrollablecosts
• Giveaccountingtimelyjobprogressandcompletiondataforbilling,includingprogressbilling
• Managecompanyvehicles(maintenance,mileage,replacementplanning)andkeepmonthlyinventorycountsaccurate

Qualifications

• 3+yearsmanagingfieldcrewsforaconstructiontradecontractor,witharecordofhiring,leadingandholdingcrewsaccountable.Unionglazing,glass,windowfilmorfinishingtradesexperienceisstronglypreferred.
• Workingknowledgeofcollectivebargainingagreements,uniondispatch,fringebenefitreporting,andprevailingwageorPLAwork
• Organized,clearcommunicator,comfortablewithGoogleWorkspace,CRMandschedulingsoftware.Windowfilmknowledgeisaplus,andweprovidetraining.
• OSHA30(orwithin90days)andavaliddriver'slicensefortravelinNJ,PA,DEandNYC

PAYRANGE:$70,000–$75,000/yr+20%bonus(OTE:$90,000+/yr)
