AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is hiring an Operations Manager for our Bismarck, ND service center. You will oversee daily freight flow, supervise staff, and ensure safe loading, on-time delivery, and clear communication with dispatch and dock teams.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years previous supervisory experience in the LTL industry.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of LTL industry, DOT/OSHA regulations and NMFC/tariff rules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop new employees.
• Plan daily manpower needs to ensure timely, damage-free delivery and pickup.
• Coordinate movement of trailers and freight with dispatch and dock staff.
• Monitor dock loading techniques for safety and efficiency.
• Evaluate and reconfigure routes based on local tendencies.
• Conduct safety meetings and facilitate quality groups.
• Analyze opportunities to improve efficiencies and performance.
• Support Operation Supervisors with pre-shift meetings and policy adherence.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company procedures.

Operations Manager | Bismarck, ND

AAA Cooper Transportation is immediately hiring a Full-Time Operations Manager to join the team at our Bismarck, ND Service Center. This role is a crucial part of the service center's daily operations. In this position, you'll directly contribute to the efficient flow of freight in and out of the service center while supporting our commitment to our valued customers. Your dedication to safe freight handling, efficient loading and unloading, and effective communication within the service center will be essential to our mutual success. Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop new employees
• Plan daily manpower needs to ensure customers' freight is delivered and picked‑up timely and damage‑free
• Communicate with dispatch at various terminals and with dock employees to coordinate the movement of trailers and freight
• Monitor dock to ensure proper loading techniques
• Evaluate and reconfigure route structures and bids based on local tendencies and characteristics
• Conduct safety meetings and facilitate quality groups
• Monitor and analyze all opportunities to improve efficiencies
• Monitor actual performance data and gather information for performance reviews
• Assist Operation Supervisors as needed: conduct pre‑shift meetings; implement company policy
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required

Pay Range: $73,000.00–$76,000.00 per year.

Requirements

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years previous supervisory experience in the LTL industry
• Must be able to travel as needed
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Strong communication skills (written, oral and visual)
• Thorough knowledge of LTL industry, DOT rules and regulations, OSHA laws, hazardous materials regulations, NMFC and tariff rules, and company policies and procedures, preferred
• Able to work in a remote location, taking self‑initiative without requiring immediate local supervision
• Multi‑task oriented and possess good organizational skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet
