Entegris is seeking an Operations Manager for the CMP Pads Manufacturing team at the Aurora, Illinois facility. You will oversee daily production across multiple shifts, drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and coach a team to meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with EHS and site leadership to strengthen safety culture, monitor schedules, and ensure disciplined execution of processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or business operations.
• 10+ years of operational experience with increasing responsibility.
• 5+ years in a management role leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Job Title:Operations ManagerJob Description:The RoleEntegris is seeking an Operations Manager to join the CMP Pads Manufacturing team at the Aurora, Illinois facility. This leader will oversee daily manufacturing operations and provide clear direction, coaching, and accountability to deliver safe, high-quality products on time to the customer base.The Operations Manager will lead a fast-paced area of the operations team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational maturity. The role coordinates people, materials, equipment, & workflow while strengthening shift-to-shift communication, training, material flow, efficiency, workplace organization, and disciplined execution. This position is onsite with primary responsibilities Monday through Friday supporting a 24/5 operation with oversight on weekends as required.What You’ll DoLead daily production activities (multiple shifts) for the CMP Pads business, establishing clear priorities, area assignments, and workflow coordination.Be accountable for safety, quality, delivery, throughput, cost, plant cleanliness, and adherence to established processes and work instructions.Translate manufacturing strategies into practical operating objectives, goals, and metrics that support profitable growth and continuous performance improvement.Partner with EHS and site leadership to strengthen safety culture, 5S+S/6S practices, hazard recognition, training, and timely investigation of safety concerns.Monitor schedule attainment, daily output, machine efficiency, material availability, and tool readiness; address gaps and escalate issues promptly.Coordinate production requirements with planning, maintenance, engineering, & quality to maintain targeted output and on-time shipment.Manage training and qualification programs for new and existing equipment and processes; identify skill gaps and maintain cross-training and contingency plans.Ensure work instructions are accurate, maintained, understood, and consistently followed; hold team members accountable to documented standards.Improve material flow, shift passdowns, tiered communication, operational efficiency, and visual performance management.Investigate and support resolution of process issues using data, structured problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.Partner with New Product Introduction teams to transfer products, materials, and processes from pilot through high-volume manufacturing.Develop team capability through coaching, communication of goals and expectations, performance management, and a culture of teamwork, innovation, and accountability.Demonstrate fiscal responsibility through budget planning, cost control, and disciplined inventory management.Provide off-shift and on-site support as business needs require.What We SeekBachelor's degree, preferably in business operations, engineering, or a related technical field, required.10+ years of operational experience or operations experience with continuously increasing responsibility and oversight; experience in CNC machining, web lamination, COBOTS, or the semiconductor/polymer processing industry preferred.5+ years in a management or senior leadership role with demonstrated success leading operations and cross-functional teams.Strong leadership, planning, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and hold others accountable.Flexibility to adapt to varying work environments, workforce needs, operating priorities, and customer requirements.Working knowledge of production related ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and the ability to create clear charts, graphs, and operational performance reporting.Lean and/or Six Sigma knowledge with demonstrated use of continuous improvement methods.Ability to use data and systems thinking to identify issues, establish priorities, and drive sustainable results.Adherence to and embodiment of Entegris PACE ValuesPreferred QualificationsA strong “Safety First” mindset, personal integrity, curiosity, and enthusiasm for continuous learning.Hands-on leadership experience in a large or multi-shift manufacturing organization.Strong data driven mindset, highly experienced in capacity and flow analysis.Experience with JMP, SQL, Power BI, Excel, or comparable data-analysis tools.Knowledge of CNC and web lamination processes.Why Work at EntegrisLead.
