Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator as part of our 18–24 month Operations Management Trainee (OMT) program.

You will work with multiple teams to learn the business, support customer retention, and develop leadership and operational knowledge through structured training, mentorship, and relocation options. The role is salaried with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution.
  • Strong PC knowledge including spreadsheet and word processing software (Excel/Word).
  • Basic understanding of business finance, controls, and metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer relationships with proactive management and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with rental department to maximize lease utilization.
  • Partner with Sales on calls for new business and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage running costs and maintenance overheads.
  • Ensure policies and processes optimize costs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee PM scheduling, follow-up, breakdowns and vehicle status updates; plan technician work.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for the customer relationship activities by providing quality customer interface, proactive customer management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the rental department to ensure maximum utilization without compromising lease customers.
  • Partner with Sales staff on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Manage running costs and maintenance overheads.
  • Ensure policy and processes are followed to optimize running costs and maintenance overhead.
  • Accountable for coordinating with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate PM scheduling and follow‑up, breakdowns and vehicle status updates; oversee Technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Relocation within the business unit at the conclusion of the training program is required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, required.
  • 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution, preferred.
  • Strong PC knowledge/skills to include spreadsheet and word processing software packages. Advanced skills are required.
  • Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls, and metrics. Beginner skills are required.
Compensation Information

Pay Type: Salaried

Minimum Pay Range: 65,000

Maximum Pay Range: 65,000
