The Operations Management program is a structured, 12-month development experience that combines formal training with immersive, hands‑on field exposure. The program is designed to build a strong pipeline of Schindler’s most critical operational leadership roles, by equipping participants with the technical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership capabilities required to succeed.
Participants gain practical experience in the field, developing a deep understanding of Schindler’s products, services, and customers. Throughout the program, participants work closely with Area, Territory, and local leadership, including a dedicated mentor, to learn how to effectively manage the maintenance and repair of elevators, escalators, and moving walks.
In addition to field experience, the development program includes a structured curriculum delivered through in‑person training, eLearning modules, and cohort‑based sessions. Core focus areas include safety, product knowledge, resource planning, leadership, technician development, and financial acumen.
The program is divided into three distinct “phases” with specific learning objectives set for each phase. Upon completion of the program, participants MUST be open to relocating to other locations within the local territory should a permanent, full‑time Field Superintendent position not be available at their host training location near time of graduation.
