Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America invites motivated students to join our internship program in Texas. You will rotate between field and office environments, applying classroom knowledge to real project work in the stabilized sand and construction materials space.

This paid internship emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on learning. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, sales, quality control and maintenance teams, supporting data collection, analysis, and process improvements

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Interest in construction materials manufacturing and plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Put your education into action in the field to support assigned project work.
• Support plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with managers, engineers, sales, quality control and production staff.
• Spend time with Operations, Sales, Quality Control, Maintenance, Logistics and Administration to gain broad understanding of the stabilized sand business.
• Complete technical and operational projects to understand plant processes and business functions.
• Assist with collecting and analyzing operational and production data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
