Job description

Atlantic Power & Utilities is an independent power producer that owns power generation assets in four states in the United States and two provinces in Canada. Our generation projects sell electricity and steam to investment‑grade utilities and other large customers, predominantly under long‑term Power Purchase Agreements with expiration dates ranging from 2027 to 2045. The projects are diversified by geography, fuel type, technology, dispatch profile and offtaker (customer). We have expertise in operating most fuel types, including gas, hydro, and biomass, and approximately 80% of the projects in operation are 100% owned and directly operated and maintained by us. We seek to minimize our exposure to commodity prices through provisions in the contracts, fuel supply agreements and hedging arrangements. In May 2021, Atlantic Power was acquired by affiliates of I Squared Capital.
