Job Title: Operations & Maintenance Manager
- Work Location: Atlanta, GA
- Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager in the interview
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the OV Construction Manager in administering technical tracking and documentation during the D&C period and project closeout.
- Track and verify compliance with reviews and responses to Construction Documentation (Field Changes, Design Changes, etc.).
- Oversee and manage operations and maintenance activities related to transportation projects, ensuring compliance with GDOT standards.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for efficient and cost-effective operations and maintenance.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance to ensure team effectiveness in meeting project goals.
- Implement asset management strategies, monitor asset condition, and recommend maintenance or replacement.
- Manage budget planning and financial activities for operations and maintenance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including GDOT officials, contractors, and agencies.
- Develop systems to monitor and evaluate performance, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Management, or related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications are beneficial.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in operations and maintenance management, with leadership in transportation projects.
- Experience with GDOT projects is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of GDOT procedures and regulations.
- Strong technical understanding of asset management and maintenance practices.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Strong financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
