Responsibilities

• Reviews work order priorities, including emergency and break-in work orders, based on knowledge of product demand, management direction and operational expectations.
• Approves or rejects all maintenance work requests.
• Determine jobs that can and should be handled by operations.
• Coordinates maintenance work between operations and maintenance.
• Determine whether jobs require an equipment shutdown.
• Adjusts priorities of scheduled work-in-progress to accommodate emergencies.
• Coordinates housekeeping for maintenance work.
• Coordinates lockouts and tag-outs of equipment for maintenance work.
• Coordinates permits for confined space entry and hot work.
• Plans backlog work with maintenance when not yet ready for scheduling.
• Coordinates scheduling with maintenance supervision, team leaders and crafts when planned work is ready to schedule.

SUMMARY:

The Operations Maintenance Coordinator role will provide leadership and support to the Operations Managers and shift supervisors to ensure continuity of the Finished Products Area. The Operations Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance activities required for maintaining and ensuring the reliability of the mill in an efficient manner.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Reviews work order priorities, including emergency and break-in work orders, based on knowledge of product demand, management direction and operational expectations
• Approves or rejects all maintenance work requests
• Determine jobs that can and should be handled by operations
• Coordinates maintenance work execution between operations and maintenance
• Determine whether jobs require an equipment shutdown
• Adjusts priorities of scheduled work-in-progress to execute emergency or break-in work
• Coordinates required housekeeping for maintenance work
• Coordinates lockouts and tag-outs of equipment for maintenance work
• Coordinates required permits for confined space entry and hot work
• Communicates directly with maintenance in the planning of work in the backlog that is not ready to be scheduled
• Communicates directly with maintenance supervision, team leaders and crafts in the scheduling of work that has been planned is ready to be scheduled

Supervisory Responsibilities
