J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. offers an Operations Internship for Spring 2027. Under supervision, you will assist customers with transportation and logistics services and gain exposure to core operational tasks.

The role emphasizes learning transportation management concepts, planning freight, DOT compliance, and payroll processes while supporting daily activities. Eligibility requires enrollment in undergrad/grad programs and 20–25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.
• GED/High School required.
• Junior or Senior level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including planning of freight; asset utilization; safety management; DOT compliance; driver payroll; logistics management/analysis; driver supervision; P&L management; maintenance coordination.
• Gain understanding of industry trends and company initiatives as it relates to driver retention.
• Perform pertinent account-specific duties as required by customer.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
