Job summary

Medline is seeking an Industrial/Systems Engineer to drive continuous improvement across its distribution centers. You will lead lean projects, develop labor standards, and manage WMS/LMS configurations while tracking KPIs and optimizing inventory and order quality.

Role requires 30% travel, a 4-year engineering degree, and US work authorization. Expect collaboration across transportation, IT, and operations to implement automation and new technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Systems strongly preferred).
  • Internship experience in process improvement and/or project management is strongly preferred.
  • Travel required 30% of the time
  • Unrestricted permanent US work authorization

Responsibilities

  • Perform continuous improvement projects within Medline distribution centers using lean methodology
  • Develop engineering labor standards and new processes
  • Track and review monthly and annual KPIs with distribution centers
  • Configure and maintain Medline’s labor management system (LMS) and warehouse management system (WMS)
  • Rotate through transportation/logistics, project management and emerging technology, operations systems, operations analytics, maintenance, supply chain optimization, and inventory control
  • Improve private fleet processes and implement new transportation technology
  • Evaluate technology solutions and support Medline’s business abroad
  • Oversee medium- to large-scale projects, including vendor and budget management
  • Design and serve as product owner for software enhancements within an agile framework
  • Support technology go-lives and existing software solutions
  • Optimize warehouse item flow and key performance metrics
  • Increase automation uptime and optimize forklift fleet management
  • Improve customer-environment processes
  • Enhance inventory accuracy, minimize losses, and ensure customer order quality
