Job summary

AgState in Hartley, IA is hiring an Operations Management Associate to learn all aspects of leading grain and agronomy operations while developing skills in budgeting, inventory control, and safety programs. You will collaborate with experienced teams, drive performance, and participate in AgState’s Operations Leadership program and other learning opportunities within a growing cooperative.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Ag education/experience, plus a valid driver’s license and demonstrated

• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of leading operations including budgeting, inventory control, and facility maintenance.
• Lead people and performance, hire and retain talent, and promote safety and engagement.
• Learn elevator operations, grain condition, receiving/shipping procedures, sampling, and drying.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and location leaders to determine equipment and facility improvements needed to increase efficiency.
• Set performance goals with management and review attainment.
