AgState in Alta, IA is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee all production activities at the facility and lead a team of direct reports. You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while meeting customer specifications and timelines.

The role requires an associate degree or 3–4 years of related experience, plus supervisory training and a valid Iowa CDL/CAL with tanker and hazmat endorsements. Competitive benefits and career growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3–4 years related experience.
• Supervisory skills training and other in‑company industry training sessions.
• Current valid Iowa driver’s license, CDL and/or CAL license for Tanker and Hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine operations of a grain/agronomy facility, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and environmental compliance.
• Partner with other supervisors to meet customer specifications and timeline.
• Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations for all production processes.
• Assist in operating fertilizer plants and mixing chemicals for application.
• Prepare rail car and load cars according to specifications.
• Fill customer fertilizer orders according to the orders, run samples to ensure compliance with order, as well as Federal regulations, help load vehicles with product, and maintain inventory records.
• Train people to ensure location meets various government standards such as OSHA and AgState by conducting employee meetings to inform and educate.
• Prepare weekly inventory reports for various departments and assist location leaders with supplies, quality, and age of inventory.
• Perform general housekeeping--sweep and clean--facility to maintain appropriate dust levels and maintain AgState image.
