Job summary

Ferguson is recruiting an Operations Manager for the Springfield Fire and Fabrication branch. The role reports to the Branch Manager and oversees a team of 12 associates with direct oversight of 5.

Responsibilities include driving safety, quality, profitability, and collaborating across departments to optimize operations. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of management experience, and familiarity with WMS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years of management/leadership experience with inventory/operational tasks.
• WMS experience recommended.
• Ability to adapt and change processes to evolving business requirements.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills for urgent situations.
• Must have good judgment and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve organizational management protocols, practices, and tools.
• Drive safety, quality and profitability to meet or exceed company objectives.
• Serve as a strategic partner on the leadership team and liaison among departments to improve results.
• Ensure warehouse operations are efficient and successful.
• Handle inventory control in the warehouse.
• Interact with vendors to coordinate inventory returns.
