GE Vernova's 1st Shift Production Supervisor will lead daily operations on the Schenectady, NY production line to ensure reliability and consistency. The role includes supervising front-line employees and ensuring work is completed according to standard procedures.

Requires a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of manufacturing experience or a HS diploma with 6 years of manufacturing experience, plus at least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description Summary

The 1st Shift Production Supervisor will perform the daily operations to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line.

This position requires an understanding of concepts, methods and procedures. Perform the daily operations to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line.

Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking.

Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations.
• Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
• Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
• Communicates with direct team and supervisor.
• Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
• Ability to work in other operations to cover as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work 1st Shift (7am-3pm)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college and 3 years of manufacturing experience OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 6 year's manufacturing experience
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing supervisory experience

• This position is 100% onsite in Schenectady, NY

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
