Responsibilities include:

• Organise and supervise the unit according to Compass Group UK & Ireland standards, contract specifications, and statutory regulations.
• Manage the overall efficient operation of the unit, ensuring quality service.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and service to standards and specifications.
• Use resources—including stock, staff, and assets—efficiently and economically.

Key qualities and responsibilities:

• Strategic management and guidance of the team.
• Previous contract catering experience.
• Effective communication, motivation, and leadership of staff.
• Responsibility for food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Regular communication with clients.
• Implement action plans based on customer feedback.
• Promote the unit and represent Compass Group positively.
• Manage stakeholder relationships.
• Deliver client hospitality to standard and seek feedback.
• Identify opportunities to enhance services and innovate.
• Operate within budget, monitor trends, and take corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure customer requirements are met to expectations.
