Job summary

Drywall Supply, Inc. – Omaha seeks an Operations Manager to oversee day‑to‑day management, planning, budgeting, scheduling, delivery, inventory accuracy, and safety functions. This role focuses on improving service levels and enabling employees to succeed while aligning with company values.

The candidate will lead a team, manage cycle counts, understand P&L implications, and ensure OSHA compliance in warehouse and field operations. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; effective team player and leader.
• Experience in construction industry and building materials preferred.
• Distribution experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while collaborating with others to get the job done.
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Navigate operational demands while communicating internally and servicing customer/orders.
• Maintain inventory levels in the yard and damaged inventory; oversee cycle counting and close out procedures; understand financials such as volume-buy, profit margins, and P&L statements.
• Oversee delivery personnel adherence to OSHA and company policies; manage warehouse operations, equipment and jobsite safety; conduct safety reviews with the Safety Manager; maintain cleanliness of warehouse/yard areas.
• Lead daily activities of team members to achieve productivity, teamwork, safety, quality and knowledge goals.
• Collaborate across departments to drive productivity; foster an inclusive environment; set and improve performance plans; find process improvements.
