Job summary

Swenson Spreader, LLC, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Lindenwood, IL, near Rockford, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations, production staff, and resources to ensure safe, efficient production aligned with quality and productivity goals.

The role acts as a change agent, championing initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost across the facility. 15 minutes south of Rockford for reference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or operations leadership roles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, production methods, and cost management.
• Demonstrated application of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience with ERP implementation and systems.
• Experience managing industrial facilities in accordance with safety standards.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Sets production standards and flow of product to meet annual targets.
• Communicates with business partners on expectations, progress and outcomes.
• Leads training of First Line Supervisors on interviews, hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Champions continuous improvement projects improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Manages safety in accordance with OSHA and oversees Safety Coordinator.
• Partners with Maintenance on facility and equipment needs, PM schedules and modifications.
• Reports EPA requirements and licenses in coordination with Facilities Manager.
