Job summary

Swenson Spreader, LLC, an Aebi Schmidt brand, located in Lindenwood, IL (15 minutes south of Rockford), seeks a skilled Laser Operator to operate and troubleshoot a Mazak laser in a lean manufacturing environment.

You will support continuous flow production, collaborate with supervisors and engineering to maximize efficiency and uphold quality standards, and learn to troubleshoot the laser and adjust processes as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to use PC’s and Outlook
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to learn and understand laser cutting processes
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible time availability, including overtime
• Accurately report labor and production
• Dexterity and agility to maintain pace
• Strong focus on safety and housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Train and learn to operate Mazak laser, resulting in being able to operate, trouble shoot, and make adjustments to produce quality parts.
• Work with supervisor/lead in producing complete products in a continuous one-piece flow operation.
• Embrace all lean initiatives.
• Work with programming and industrial engineering to maximize work center efficiency and material utilization.
• Maintain the ability and attitude to perform duties consistent with the operating expectations of Swenson.
• Operates within quality standards.
