Job summary

The Kalamazoo Indoor Sports Facility in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations, safety, events, and guest experience, reporting to the VP of Venue Management. This role requires strategic leadership to deliver on annual business plans and grow revenue while maintaining exceptional service.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets and vendor relationships, coordinate tournament bookings, collaborate with Discover Kalamazoo and local agencies, and drive initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of management experience with daily P&L oversight.
• Experience organizing, booking, and operating sports tournaments and events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations, safety, and guest services.
• Develop and execute the Annual Business Plan and monitor performance against targets.
• Lead and develop staff, oversee budgeting, and ensure operational excellence.
• Manage food & beverage operations and event operations.
• Coordinate tournament bookings and drive regional/national tournaments.
