Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Lancaster, PA seeks an Operations Leader to guide Production Teams and Shift Coordinators toward safe, efficient metal production in a continuous improvement setting.

You will coach staff, align team goals with plant objectives, act as backup for the Production Superintendent, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and participate in hiring and onboarding. This safety-sensitive role operates on a 12-hour rotating schedule, 14 days out of 28.

Qualifications

• 2 years of supervisory or project management experience.
• 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Science, or Engineering.
• 10 years manufacturing experience.
• 5 years of leadership experience.
• Ability to translate corporate objectives into department goals.
• Experience with AS400 and Oracle; MS Office proficiency.

Job Summary:

TheOperations Leaderis accountable for providing leadership and direction to Production Teams and Operations Shift Coordinators in order to meet business requirements for the efficient production of metal in a continuous improvement environment. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Operations Leader is responsible to ensure a safe and productive environment.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the team in safely producing the highest quality product
• Coaches employees for effectiveness, efficiency, performance, safety practices, and adherence to procedures; corrects behaviors and actions as needed
• Ensure team performance goals are aligned to department and plant business objectives and communicated to the team
• Act as backup for the Production Superintendent
• Comply with all employment laws and Arconic Equal Opportunity Policies in all hiring, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions
• Provides adequate direction for team; maintaining clearly stated work assignments and providing assistance when needed
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees
• Ensure that EHS incidents and quality issues are appropriately investigated and corrective actions implemented on a timely basis

Basic Qualifications:

• 2 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of project management experience
• 3 years of manufacturing experience
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Material\'s Science, or Engineering
• 10 years manufacturing experience
• 5 years of leadership experience;
• Demonstrated success in coaching and developing high performance teams;
• Ability to translate corporate and plant business objectives into meaningful and achievable business goals for the department;
• Experience with AS400 and Oracle;
• Operational knowledge regarding process, equipment capability, practices, systems;
• Ability to handle multiple projects/assignments concurrently and be results oriented;
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point);
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
